Measuring the substrate

Example in Electromagnetic Mode

Measure an uncoated substrate 4-5 times.  Each 

time a measurement is completed a “beep” will 

sound and the measurement value will be displayed.

• Electromagnetic measuring mode (Fe) is used 

for ferrous substrate samples, and Eddy-Current 

measuring mode (NFe) is used for non-ferrous 

metal substrate.

• Depending on the substrate, a measurement value 

that is greatly different from that shown on the left (a 

measurement value close to 0) may be displayed, 

but in step

 they will be fixed as the set 

value, so continue with the operation.
