Possible cause
Remedial measure
Battery fault
Battery is missing, is faulty or voltage less than
13.5V.
Check battery charge state, correct connection
and damage to the battery connection terminals.
Maintenance due
(flashing)
- The maintenance date has been reached
- No maintenance date entered
- Carry out maintenance
- Enter maintenance date.
Undercurrent 1 or 2
- Current consumption of the pump below the
minimum value
- Cable interrupted between control unit and
pump
- Pump faulty
Check cable and replace if necessary, check
pump and replace if necessary.
Overcurrent 1 or 2
Maximum current consumption of pump
exceeded, perhaps impeller blockage
Clean the pump and check the impeller for
smooth running
Relay fault 1 or 2
Power contactor does not switch off.
Disconnect the control unit from the mains,
replace the contractor.
Power outage
- Power supply has failed
- Device’s micro-fuse (S1) has triggered
- Power supply has failed, power contactor has
triggered
- Main switch faulty - mains supply cable
interrupted
- None, general power outage
- Check fuse
- Check main switch
- Check the mains supply cable when switching
off intentionally, shutting down control unit (see
4.4)
Temperature fault
1a or 2a
Self-resetting temperature monitoring has
triggered.
Self-resetting - the pump starts again
automatically when the motor has cooled down.
The fault message is acknowledged automatically.
Replace the pump if the temperature fault occurs
frequently.
Temperature fault
1b or 2b
NON
-self-resetting temperature monitoring
has triggered.
NON-self-resetting - the pump remains inactive
even after the motor has cooled down. The control
unit has to be switched off and then back on
again.
Replace the pump if the temperature fault occurs
frequently.
Level fault
Incorrect assignment or cabling of the probes
(float switch, pressure switch, level probe or
airtightness of the pressure system)
Incorrect probe configuration (e. g. level sensor
configured but pressure switch connected)
Functional check, troubleshooting
Phase outage
Phase L2 or L3 no longer available
Check power supply cable and fuses.
Rotary field fault
Wrong rotary field for mains connection
Swap 2 phases of power cable.
Motor protection
1 or 2
- Motor protection switch has triggered - motor
protection switch set incorrectly.
- Pumping current too high due to faulty or
blocked pump.
- Increased current due to phase failure
- Set current value according to pump.
- Remove blockage.
- Replace pump if faulty - check power supply for
phase failure.
Pressure loss
Hose on the screw fitting to the immersion pipe
(or submersible pressure switch) or control unit
leaking.
Check airtightness of the pressure sensor system.
Pressure fault
Pressure lose in pneumatic level recording
Carry out self-diagnosis
Max. Switching
cycles
1 or 2
Maximum operating cycles exceeded
Can be acknowledged. Inform Customer Services.
Fault appears after a further 1000 operating cycles.
