The KEMPER Automatic backwash Figure
712 99 004 takes care of the fully-automatic
backwashing of the KEMPER filter Figure 712
as well as the KEMPER Pressure reducing
valve filter Figure 713. The backwash inter-
vals can be set in 16 steps and lie between
4 minutes and 3 months. The automatic
backwash has an emergency run function
which provides a manual backwashing
facility during a power failure (the batteries
have to be inserted for this feature). There
are connection facilities for remote switching
or remote monitoring. In order to maintain
the drinking water hygiene, the backwash
intervals should be as short as possible.

Close shut-off valves (1) and (2).
Press the start and stop button (3) (ball-pen
principle). If it has come out, open the drain
valve by turning the start and stop button
90° to the right. The remaining water volume
can now drain out of the filter.
Note!
Ensure suitable
water drainage.
Use a screwdriver to unlatch the start and
stop button from below through the groove
and remove it with the spring.
Now use a pair of pointed pliers (5) to pull off
the white stop sleeve (4).
