Cautions on attaching/removing
• Before installing or removing your au Nano IC Card 04,
be sure to turn the product off. Also, make sure that the
microUSB plug of the specified AC adapter or other
accessory is disconnected from the product.
• When attaching/removing the au Nano IC Card 04, be
sure to unmount the microSD memory card first.

When au Nano IC Card 04 is not inserted
If the au Nano IC Card 04 is not inserted, the following
operations are unavailable. And " " appears on the status
bar.
• Making

/Receiving a call in the country you stay
• Sending/Receiving SMS
• Initial settings and sending/receiving emails of E-mail

• Checking your phone number and email address of the
product
Besides the items above, necessary functions such as your
phone number are also unavailable.
* Emergency calls such as 110 (Police), 119 (Fire and Ambulance) and
118 (Regional Coast Guard Headquarters) are unavailable. However,
when the signal strength is "out of range" during GSM/UMTS/LTE roaming,
emergency calls are available. (Since emergency call numbers varies
depending on countries, they may be unavailable.)

PIN code limit settings
To protect your personal information, you can limit
unauthorized use of the au Nano IC Card 04 by a third party
by changing PIN code or locking SIM card.
