Draining Water
If the product is wet, be sure to drain water from the earpiece,
mouthpiece/microphone, speaker, sub microphone, earphone/
microphone jack, external connection jack, Power key, Volume UP/
DOWN key, Phone key, Home key, Mail key, Voice search key, etc.

Wipe off water on the surface of the product
thoroughly with a dry, clean cloth, etc.

Hold the product securely and shake it
approximately 20 times until there is no more
water splashing
Check the safety of your surroundings; while shaking the
product, hold it securely so as not to drop it.

Pat the product against a dry, clean cloth, etc. to
remove moisture from the grooves
Water may be trapped in the openings; put a cloth against them
and pat the product to remove the water. Make sure that there is
no water or foreign object left in the openings.

Leave the product on a dry cloth, etc. for
approximately 2 to 3 hours at room temperature
to dry it
After wiping off the water, water remaining in the product may
seep out, if any.
Do not wipe off water trapped in the grooves directly with a
cotton swab, etc.
■ Precautions to be Taken after Water Draining
Do not use the product with water drops left on it.
• Doing so might cause call failure or wet clothes, bags, etc.
• Doing so might cause the earphone/microphone jack, external
connection jack, etc. to short-circuit, causing fire or a fault.
• Doing so in cold places might cause the water drops to freeze,
resulting in a fault.
