site for the existence and location of buried objects such as 
water and gas mains and high-voltage cable ducts.   

   (2) Improving the ground surface for outrigger setting
 

 Improve the ground surface as far as possible if it is soft, 

crumbly, uneven or sloping. Use wooden blocks etc. if necessary 
to produce a flat surface and then set the outriggers on steel 
plates etc. of adequate areas and rigidity to reduce surface 
pressure  further.
