3.1 Mounting the flow sensor
The flow sensor
can be
mounted
vertically,
horizontally or
at an angle.
The flow sensor
can be turned
upwards to max.

axis.
Do not mount
the flow sensor
with the plastic
box upwards.

lea st 25 c m dist ance t o other inst allation s.
Clim atic en vironment: The inst allation sh all be m ade in non-
conden sin g envir onments and in c losed loc ation (indoor). The
ambient temper atur e must be within 5…55°C.
Maint enanc e and rep air:
The wat er sup plier i s al low ed to c han ge c ommunic ation module
and batt ery. The flow p art mu st nev er be separ ated fr om the
calc ulat or. A ll r epair s requir e a fol low ing r e-verific ation on an
accr edited l aborat ory.

“E” appe ars in the right side of the disp lay .

3. Mountin g of flo w par t
Bef ore mou nting the flo w par t (flo w sensor), flu sh the syst em
thorough ly and r emove pr otection p lugs/p las tic membr anes
from the flo w sensor .
The flow dir ection is indic ated b y an arr ow on the s ide of the
flow sen sor.
There ar e no requir ements for s traight inlet, b ut w e rec ommend
a str aight in let of 3…5

To pr event cav itation the oper ating pr ess ure at the flow sen sor
must be min. 1.5 bar at Q3 and min. 2.5 bar at Q4.
The flow sen sor must not be e xposed t o pres sur es belo w
ambient pres sur es (v acuum).
4. Mounting the calculator
4.1 Mounting
MULTICAL
®
41 must be mounted on the wall due to the risk
of condensation in the electronics part.
Use the fittings as a template for marking-out and drill 2 pcs.
holes of 6 mm in the wall. After mounting the calculator is
sealed with seal and thread.
