About▋Fail-Safe
This set is equipped with two kinds of fail-safe functions. Using the ordinary bind method (as described above), the
throttle channel remembers its fail safe position, and the other channels will hold.
How to Bind with Fail-Safe on All Channels
1)
Set the receiver to bind state by inserting the bind plug and then connecting (turning on) the receiver battery.
Confirm that the LED starts blinking.
2)
Disconnect the bind plug. Confirm that the receiver continues blinking.
3)
Set the transmitter sticks, levers, switches, etc. to the fail-safe positions you choose. While holding the controls
in this state, push and hold the bind button, and simultaneously turn ON the transmitter RF output. The LEDs
on both the transmitter and the receiver will go off,
and then turn on again. At this point, the bind is
complete.
4)
Finally turn OFF the transmitter and confirm that
the servos move to their preset (fail-safe) positions.
NOTE:
※ The throttle channel is always set to fail-safe (never
hold). After model setup is complete, always re-bind
the radio so the throttle failsafe position is correct
(motor stopped). If the throttle reverse switch is
changed, the failsafe function may be changed to the full throttle position, causing a serious danger. So always
re-bind the receiver after any changes to the throttle channel setup.
※ Be sure to confirm the fail-safe settings (turn OFF the transmitter and confirm that the servos move to the correct
positions).
※ On an electric model be sure to disconnect the motor wires from the ESC during the bind procedure and testing.
The propeller or rotor blades may start to rotate unexpectedly.

Troubleshooting
When binding does not complete successfully, check the following points.
Is the remaining battery power of the transmitter and receiver adequate?
Is the distance between the transmitter and receiver too close?
When the procedure is carried out on the top of a desk or bench that is made from metal, binding may not be
successful.

1. Are the transmitter and receiver batteries fully charged?
2. Is the remote antenna securely connected?
3. Is the distance between the transmitter and receiver too close?
4. When the procedure is carried out on the top of a desk or
bench top that is made from metal, the binding procedure
may not be successful.
If the bind process or range check is not successful,
check the following items:
Check RF status
to be ON
When using a DSM2 module, be sure
to set the modulation type to PPM9
※When using a Gyro, carry out
the connection according to
the Gyro operation manual.
