Unscrew the two lamp chamber screws and remove the cover.
Attention
The cover could be very hot, remember to use gloves!
Unplug the 3 wire connector by pulling it up.
Loosen and remove the two white screws (Fig. I and II in the next image) from the
deuterium lamp.
Replace for a new pre-aligned lamp provided by
SELECTA
or an authorized technical
service.
Make sure that the lamp bridle wire coincides with the pintle position. Then, tighten
both screws.
Switch again the cable connector (make sure that the cable connection orientation
is the correct one.)
Switch the equipment on. After self-diagnosis, select 300 nm and press [ZERO].
Check that the light beam focuses the monochromator inlet slot.
As the lamp is a pre-aligned one, it will need just a minimum adjustment.
Unplug the equipment, cove the lamp chamber again and tighten both screws.
Install again the equipment cover. Pay attention not to pinch the cables during the
process.
8.2 Battery replacement
UV-2005 can save many data in the RAM memory, and so a battery is needed in the
circuit board.
You will have to replace the battery when it is exhausted.
Switch off and unplug the equipment
(VERY IMPORTANT: high voltage).
Unscrew the board’s 13 screws and remove it.
Remove the old battery and place the new one (Fig. III)
Place again the board and the 13 screws.
