1.2
Intended use
This unit serves the purpose of cosmetic tanning for one adult person with
skin suitable for tanning. More detailed information can also be found on
pages 11 and 37.
Some people are not permitted to use the unit, see Section '1.4.1 Prohibited
usage'.
The unit may not be used by users with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities or who have insufficient experience and/or knowledge without
supervision. If there is any doubt as to whether this can be achieved, use of
the unit by these users is prohibited!
The device may only be operated with the specified or equivalent lamps. The
tanning times given in this instruction manual are valid only for the specified
lamp set.
Any other use shall be considered improper. The manufacturer cannot be
held liable for damage or injuries resulting from improper use. The operator or
private user alone bears the risk for improper use.
Proper use also includes compliance with the manufacturer’s instructions and
its operating and maintenance conditions. The unit may only be repaired by
authorised, trained professionals familiar with this unit and that have been
informed of the dangers involved.
1.3
Foreseeable misuse
The following uses of the unit are explicitly prohibited:
The unit may not be used by several people at the same time. The base
may otherwise break and cause injuries.
People with a body weight of more than 135 kg may not use the unit. The
base may otherwise break and cause injuries.
Exceeding the specified tanning times may result in sunburn and long-
term skin damage.
When the unit is in use no other people may remain in the room, in par-
ticular children.
While using the unit no pets may be present in the room.
Do not hang any objects on the canopy that place any strain on it.
The inlets and outlets must not be covered, e.g. with a hand towel or
clothing.
People under 18 years of age may not use the device.
The unit must not be connected to a multi-plug or socket board.
The unit must always be connected to a separate socket with its own
fuse.
