POWER SOURCE 

This unit operates using the included AC adaptor with 12V  3000mA (center-positive 

) output and is compatible with standard 120V~ 60Hz AC household power or with 

10 “D” size (UM-1) batteries (Not included).  

The remote control operates on one 3V  type CR2032 lithium battery (Included). 

 

A. AC POWER CONNECTION 

1.  Insert the the DC Plug of the AC Adaptor into the DC  IN jack on the back of the unit. 

Plug the AC Adaptor into a standard 120V~ 60Hz AC wall outlet. 

2.  Slide the main power switch on the back of the unit to the “ON” positon, the unit is 

now in standby mode. 

3.  You can now press the  button  on unit or remote control to turn on the unit. The 

display shows “HELLO”. 

4.  Press the  button  on unit or remote control to turn off the unit, then the display 

shows “GOOD--BYE”. Slide the power switch on the back of the unit to “OFF” positon, 

and pull the AC adaptor out of the wall outlet if you

 

want to switch off completely. 

 

B. BATTERY OPERATION 

Note

: For best performance and longer operating time, we recommend the use of alkaline-

type batteries. 

1.  Remove the Battery Door on the back of the unit. 

2.  Follow the marked polarities and install 10 “D” size (UM-1) batteries.  

3.  Replace the Battery Door. 

 

IMPORTANT

-  Batteries shall not be exposed to excessive heat such as sunshine, fire or the like.

  Be sure that the batteries are installed correctly.

BATTERY CARE 

-  Be sure that the batteries are installed correctly. Wrong polarity may damage the unit. 

-  Do not mix old and new batteries. 

-  Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc) or rechargeable (nickel-cadmium) batteries. 

-  Only batteries of the same or equivalent type as recommend are to be used. 

-  If the unit is not to be used for an extended period of time, remove all batteries. Old or 

leaking battery can cause damage to the unit and may void the warranty. 

-  Do not dispose batteries in fire. Batteries may leak or explode. 

-  Danger of explosion if battery is incorrectly replaced. 

 

C. REMOTE CONTROL 

The remote control operates on one CR2032 battery (included). To 

activate the remote control, remove the insulation tab inserted in the 

battery compartment.  

When the operation of the remote control becomes intermittent or 

unsatisfactory, replace the original battery with a new 3-volt lithium battery. 

1.  Slide out the battery holder from the remote control case.  

2.  Replace the 3V CR2032 battery. Be sure the battery is installed 

correctly. The remote will not work if the battery is installed with the 

wrong polarity.
