For process control and visualization of ECOVARIO® in the Profi net® network a Profi Drive compatible
controller can be used. For confi guration instructions and an application example with the PLC S7-1500
(manufacturer: Siemens) please refer to Application Note 33.
Th ere are two ways to implement the operation with Profi net® interface:
as a pure Profi net® application
communication with ECO Studio in parallel to the Profi net® bus operation.
Th e two ways are described in the following.
Pure Profi net® operation
Th e communication is handled exclusively via Profi net® (cf. Fig. 6.42). All CANopen messages and services
(PDO, Emergency, NMT etc.) are managed. For the ECOVARIOs e.g. a line-shaped or a star-shaped con-
nection via an IRT switch can be provisioned.
