Remove and Install

Remove

1. Make the machine safe. Refer to (PIL 01-03).
2. Isolate the battery. Refer to (PIL 33-03).
3. Remove  the  ECM  (Engine  Control  Module).

Refer to (PIL 33-45).

4. Remove the rear road light wiring harness.
5. Open  the  engine  compartment  cover.  Refer  to

(PIL 06-06).

6. Loosen the clamp 1.
7. Disconnect  the  air  filter  intake  pipe  from  the

engine compartment cover.

8. Loosen the clamp 2.
9. Disconnect  the  air  cleaner  from  the  engine

turbocharger (if installed).

10. Disconnect  the  electrical  wires  from  the  air

pressure sensor.

11. Remove the bolts 1.
12. Remove the air filter assembly.

13. Remove  the  front  bolts  2  from  the  engine

compartment cover.

15. Remove the engine compartment cover from the

machine with suitable lifting equipment.
