7. Operator Platform
– The operator should
always be standing on the platform while
operating the mixer.
8. Battery
– Provides power to the electric
engine starter, electronic scale system, and
auxiliary components (if applicable).
9. Auger On/Off Control
– Standard units use a
T-handle to control auger on/off. When the T-
handle is pulled outward, the auger will begin
rotating. When the T-handle is pushed
inward, the auger will stop rotating. When the
T-handle is rotated in either direction, it will
lock in position. CE units are controlled by an
electronic rocker switch with ‘on’ and ‘off’
positions. For CE units, the rocker switch
must be in the ‘off’ position and the parking
brake must be applied before engine is
started.
10. Parking Brake
– Equipped on CE units.
11. Hydraulic Oil Reservoir/Cap
– Remove the
cap to add oil. The glass level sight on the
side of the reservoir indicates proper oil level
range.
12. Remote Engine Throttle Control
– To
increase engine speed, push the throttle lever
upward. To decrease engine speed, push the
throttle lever downward.
13. Steering Wheel/Spinner
– Rotate the
steering wheel clockwise or counter-clockwise
to steer the mixer.
14. Electronic Scale Indicator
– Displays the
feed weight inside the drum.
23. Door Safety Switch
– Equipped on CE units.
When the unloading door is opened, this switch
is activated. The foot safety switch must be
depressed to continue unloading or the auger
will stop rotating.
24. Additional Unloading Door (Optional)
- Can
be opened to allow feed to be discharged.
25. Additional Door Open/Close Control
(optional)
– Controls the feed discharge rate.
26. Door Selector Switch (optional)
– Used to
select which door will be operated.
27. Hydraulic Oil Cooler Fan Override
– Normally,
the fan is activated by an internal temperature
switch. However, while the override button is
pressed in the fan will run (with engine on).
Test daily before feeding to make sure cooler
fan is functioning.
28. Engine Cover
–
Cover should be left in the
‘down’ position and secured during normal
operation to minimize the amount of feed that
could potentially land around the cooling intake
or on the exhaust. Cover can be pivoted into the
‘up’ position and secured for maintenance
purposes.
29. Mixing Drum Mirror
– Equipped on CE units.
Gives the operator a wide-angle view of the
inside of the mixing drum while standing safely
on the operator platform.
