10.2 5050 Stationary Mixer Components

Figure 20 - 5050 Stationary Mixer Components

1. Mixer Drum

– Contains the feed while it is

cut and mixed by the vertical auger.

2. Vertical Auger

– Mixes the feed within the

mixer drum and discharges the feed through
the unloading door.

3. Auger Knives

– Cut the feed material as the

auger rotates.

4. Auger On/Off Control

– When lever handle

is pushed upward, auger will begin rotating.
When lever handle is pushed downward,
auger will stop rotating.

5. Hydraulic Oil Reservoir/Cap

– Remove the

cap to add oil. The cap dipstick indicates the
proper oil level range.

6. Electric Motor

– Powers the machine.

7. Electronic Scale Indicator

– Displays the feed

weight inside the drum.

8. Unloading Door

– Can be opened to discharge

the feed.

9. Door Open/Close Control

– Controls the feed

discharge rate.
