Troubleshooting
Problem

Electric motor malfunction
Grid voltage differs from the nominal
voltage by more than 10%
Provide for grid supply with the correct
voltage
Cooling air temperature too high
Provide for cool air
Cable connection faulty
Check and repair cable connection if
necessary
Fuse blown
Replace fuse
Not enough cooling air, cooling air
passage is blocked
Provide for proper supply and exhaust of
cooling air
Controller malfunction
Consult the controller manual
Motor hums and draws
high current
Failed winding
Repair or replace the motor
Loose wire
Connect wire
Fuses blow or automatic
circuit breakers trip
Short circuit in wiring or motor
Remedy short circuit
Live parts in the motor contact the
housing or the motor has a short circuit

Inspect to find out why automatic circuit
breaker or controller has tripped. Remove
any obstacles from supply belts. Reset
automatic circuit breaker after solving
problem
Second machine in the line is not ready,
so take-off is not enabled.
Release take-off of second machine in line.
Pot separation take-off is
jammed
Cylinder carries out sequence of
movements too slowly, so machine take-
off steps are not completed in sequence.
Valve may be fouled
Replace relevant valve
Used pots not separated.
Pots sticking together
