Set the thread tension at 1 ~ 3, and stitch length
at 3 ~ 4, sew straight lines 1 cm (3/8˝) apart
across the area to be smocked.
Knot the needle and bobbin threads along one
edge. Pull the bobbin threads and distribute
gathers evenly.

Sew lines of the pattern between the straight
seams. Pull out the gathering stitches.
