- Remove the sensors from the container, disconnect them from
the device and clean them; apply the respective protective caps
to the ends and place them in a safe location.
- Clean the pipes:
» which go
from the device pump to the tanks;
» which go
from the device pump to the spa system;
Reference calibration
At the end of the season and periodically (dependent on the device
type of usage), the reliability of sensors must be checked by means
of "reference" calibration.
-
chlorine sensor
: a photometer is required to take measure-
ments at the time water is taken from the system. Once the
measurement has been taken, it is compared with that of the
appliance, and where incorrect, sensor calibration must be im-
plemented using the setting solution.
It is advisable carrying out this calibration even where the reac-
tant and/or measurement system is being replaced
(formed of sen-
sor and LED spotlight, located at the base of the measurement unit).
-
pH sensor
: the reliability of the pH sensor is checked using set-
ting solutions
(generally pH 7.0 and pH 4.0)
, as indicated during
the installation stages.
NOTE: the sensors should be replaced every year.
Maintenance
Before carrying out any cleaning operations or replac-
ing components, it is necessary to shut off the power
to the appliance.
NOTE: Please refer to the main spa-pack documentation for
maintenance of the sand filter and filter pump.
Q
Checks
Checks
Periodically check the operation and state of wear of:
- the instrument pumps;
- the pipes connecting the pumps to the instrument and/or the
chlorine or pH corrector containers.
- measurement cell (see below).
- chlorine sensor and/or pH sensor.
If necessary, replace the faulty parts, contacting an authorised
Jacuzzi® Service Centre.
Q
Cleaning the device
- Use a dampened cloth to remove any dirt/encrustations.
Do not use abrasive detergents or solvents.
- Immediately remove all reactant traces.
Q
Cleaning the sensors
- It is recommended that sensors are cleaned every month using
a soft cloth dampened with a little water. To remove encrusta-
tions, immerse the sensors in a solution of water and 10% hydro-
chloric acid.
- Subsequent to cleaning, it is recommended that sensor calibra-
tion is carried out (see section on
“Reference calibration”
).
Q
Cleaning the measurement unit
- At the end of the season and/or dependent on the frequen-
cy of use to which the device is subjected, clean the measure-
ment unit: after disconnecting the power supply and removing
the cover, remove the magnet inside. Clean the unit using a soft
cloth dampened with a little water; to remove any encrustations,
use a solution of water and 10% hydrochloric acid.
- Check, and where necessary, clean the solenoid valve too,
which is located next to the measurement unit.
- Re-assemble the components, remembering to position the
magnet once again, inside the measurement unit.
Do not use solvents, diluents or abrasive substances to
clean the measurement unit. Do not use metal tools.
Q
Cleaning the spa-pack solenoid valve
- Periodically check and, where necessary, clean the solenoid
valve.
