Important
Please refer to the main spa-pack documentation for op-
eration of the sand filter and filter pump.
On a daily basis (even dependent on spa frequency of
use) it is recommended that you check that the device
is working correctly and check that there are no alarm
warning
s
.
Periodically carry out sensor reference calibration.
Using the device
Each time it is turned on (including the first start-up),
the device carries out an operation check which lasts
approximately 10 minutes, after which time, it takes
the first measurement and the chemical elements are
measured out.
Therefore, upon switching on, the values presented on
the display, should be dismissed.
- The phrase
“normal operation”
refers to the implementation
of checking/measuring activities (
the display presents the chlorine
- free- and pH values).
When a user accesses the adjustment menu, the check-
ing/measuring activities are suspended: upon comple-
tion of adjustments, ensure the device returns to the
“normal operation” status. In the instance where this
does not appear, checking/measuring activities have
not been carried out and therefore correct water treat-
ment is not guaranteed.
Sensor calibration
- Ensure that the sensor ends are not in contact with the bottom
of the container (
17
).
- In order to calibrate the pH sensor, firstly use the
pH 7
solution.
- Once the sensor has been inserted into the setting solution, mix
it for a few seconds and wait until the display value stabilises
(the
displayed value should not vary).
- In the instance where the value on the display does not corre-
spond with the “reference” value
(presented on the setting solution
container and with reference to the various temperature values)
,
press keys
S
/
T
to set the value.
- To delete any incorrect values, select
“reset default”
and press
“enter”
.
Setting the redox value
The redox, measured in mV (millivolt) is associated with the
chlorine concentration in the water: where this exceeds a certain
threshold, an alarm signal is issued. It must be noted that the redox
is dependent on the type of water used (mineral salt content, etc.)
and it is therefore necessary to determine the value on a case-by-
case basis.
- Subsequent to installing the spa-pack and subsequent to sen-
sor calibration, start up the system and leave it to function for
approximately 24 hours, so that the correct water treatment val-
ues are achieved.
- Press the
“enter”
key so that the
redox
value appears on the
bottom right
(presented in mV)
; add “50” to the value presented
and note it down.
- Press
“esc”
: the display should present
“impostazioni sistema”
(system settings)
; where this is not the case, subsequently press
the
“enter”
key
.
- Using the
T
key, select the
“impostazioni misure”
(measure-
ment setting)
menu and press “
enter”
.
- Select
“selezione rx”
(rx selection)
and press “
enter”
.
- Check that
“abilita inibit”
(enable inibit) is
“on”
(if not on, select
this item, press “enter”
and using the keys
S
/
T
set to “on”).
- Select
“inibit cl redox”
(enable cl redox)
and press “
enter”
.
- Select
“set point”
and press “
enter”
.
Enter the value noted down previously (press the keys
S
/
T
, se-
lect the value to be assigned to the parameter and press
“enter”
).
- To exit from the menu and return to normal operation, press
“esc”
until
“exit”
appears on the display and then press
“enter”
.
At this stage,
“save?
": will appear on the display.
»
press
“enter”
once again to save the changes made;
» press
“esc”
to exit the menu without saving the changes
made.
Setting the device in the case of water with acid
pH
In the majority of cases, the spa water has an alkaline pH value
(hence, over 7). The device is therefore configured in the factory to
operate correctly using water with these values: the specific
Jacuz-
zi ® pH
product - suited to the device, can be used to keep the pH
within these suitable values.
On the contrary, where the spa water demonstrates low pH val-
ues (lower than 7), the
Jacuzzi® ph+
product must be used, whilst
modifying some device operating parameters.
- Press
“esc”
: the display should present
“impostazioni sistema”
