WARNING!
Recharge the batteries before use. Batteries
must be charged at room temperature of be-
tween 0º C (32º F) and 45º C (113º F). If charging
is not carried out between these temperatures,
it cannot be assured to have been correct, and
the battery capacity may be reduced.

To charge the battery, insert the power jack into the battery
and the battery charger plug into the 100-240V (50-60 Hz)
power socket of the installation premises.
When charging is completed, disconnect the battery charger
plug from the 100-240V (50-60 Hz) socket then extract the jack
from the battery.
3.11.1. Safe use of the battery
In using the battery it is important to comply with the follow-
ing safety requirements:
• It is forbidden to touch the battery or battery charger
with wet hands.
• It is forbidden to leave the battery near heat sources
or under direct or indirect sunlight (such as in the car).
• In the event of incorrect use of the batteries, liquid might
leak out of them.
• Strictly avoid any contact with it.
• In the event of accidental contact accurately rinse with
water.
• Immediately seek medical attention in the event the liquid
should come into contact with your eyes.
• The liquid from the rechargeable battery may cause skin
irritation or burns.
• It is mandatory to keep the battery and battery charger
away from the reach of children.
• It is mandatory to only and exclusively use the battery
charger supplied for charging the battery.
3.11.2. Battery charging procedure
Any change in the indicated order in the battery recharging
instructions may cause irreparable damage to the charger or
batteries.
• With reference to Figure 11, connect the socket (9) of the
battery charger (E) to a 100-240V (50-60 Hz) power mains
outlet of the installation premises.
• It is recommended for the socket to be fitted with
earthing terminal.
• The LED (5) of the battery charger lights up steady in
green simply to signal that power is on.
• Connect the connector (8) to the relevant connection on
the battery; after a few seconds the display (4) shows the
charging progress.
• The batteries are being charged.
• Once the batteries have been charged, disconnect the
connector (8) from the battery.
lf the batteries are totally discharged, the charging time will
be approximately 3 hours. For optimal charging, the batteries
should be charged at the room temperature of between 0º
C (32º F) and 45º C (113º F). At lower or higher temperatures,
the battery charging capacity is not completed 100%, and the
economy is reduced.
For a longer useful battery life, it is recommendable to work un-
til the batteries completely discharged at least once a month
during the cutting campaign.
For long storage/hibernation after the cutting season, the bat-
teries must be completely recharged. This must be repeated
every 3 MONTHS, and failure to do so will result in the warranty
being voided.
