Getting started

General settings

11.1

Setting the software language

The language of the software or the interface can be adjusted to the language of the user.

To set the software language, please refer to the Mind Express operating instructions.

11.2

Setting the speech

The messages that you assign to the squares in the communication grid are spoken out loud by the speech output device. You deter-
mine the speech characteristics, such as language, voice, voice volume, overall volume and speaking rate.

To set the speech, please refer to the Mind Express operating instructions.

11.3

Setting the time and date

The Smart can read out loud the time, day, and date. So make sure the time and date are set correctly.

Select

Tools > Date/Time

In the

Time

field, tap on the hour and use the arrows to adjust the hour. Do the same for the minutes and seconds.

Tap the

button in the

Date

field and select the current date from the calendar.
