Install Optional Second Tonearm
This manual contains instructions for setting up and using the J.Sikora Standard MAX turntable. In the
US, the base configuration of this turntable ships with support for one tonearm. You can order an
optional Tonearm Tower for the Standard MAX so that the table can support a total of two tonearms.
You will use the same general technique as in Step 14 to mount your second tonearm.
You will mount the second tonearm on
the Armboard on the back-left of the
table.
Like with the main arm, if the tonearm
is too low to set the proper VTA, you
may add a riser to the arm tower.
Methods for Adjusting the Tonearm Position

Tighten Bolts and Screws
In this step, you will tightly secure all of the Set Screws and Bolts to ensure that the table is now ready to
be used.
Use the supplied Wrenches to firmly
tighten, but not overly torque, all of the
Bolts and Set Screws used in the
previous steps. Overtightening the
screws and bolts can strip the threads or
make the screws and bolts difficult to
loosen in the furture.
Here are the items to tighten:
Arm Tower Bolt under Chassis
Armboard Bolt(s)
Set screws under the the Arm Pod
Set screw(s) used to lock in the tonearms.

Mask the Armboard Bolts
In this step, you will cover the Bolt(s) for the Armboards.
You will receive one Masking Plug to
cover the exposed Bolt on the Armboard
(or two Masking Plugs if you purchased
the optional second tonearm). Place a
Masking Plug over the exposed Bolt of
each Armboard.
