6.5 Protocol Specific Restrictions

The number of devices and values that can be defined in the various protocols is limited.
Modbus
• Client: 128 devices, 4096 values (max. 8129 array elements)
• Server: 4096 values (max. 8129 array elements)
• TCP Server/Slave: up to 16 Modbus TCP Client/Master can be connected
• RTU Slave: one Modbus RTU Master and 4096 values can be connected
• RTU Master: up to 128 devices and 4096 values can be connected
IEC 60870-5-104
• Client: 32 devices, 4096 values (max. 8129 array elements)
• Server: 4096 values (max. 8129 array elements)
IEC 61850
• Client: 128 devices, 4096 values
• Server: 4096 values
SNMP
• up to 128 agents and 4096 values
PROFIBUS
• up to 128 modules and 244 values (per direction)
PROFINET
• up to 128 modules and 1440 values (per direction)
EtherNet/IP
• up to 128 modules and 1448 values (per direction)
