6.1

Configuring the Network Settings

To be able to access the embedded web server, the device must have a valid IP address known
to HMS Industrial Networks.

Chiptool

Make sure that device is connected to computer (see

Connecting the Device to the Com-

puter, p. 11

).

►

Make sure that Chiptool is downloaded (see

System Requirements, p. 9

).

►

Start Chiptool.

Chiptool scans for SG Gateways on the local network.

➨

MAC IDs of the found devices are displayed in a list.

►

Check MAC ID of device in use on label on the housing.
