Configuring SMS Messaging

The SG Gateway with 3G cellular modem is capable of sending and receiving messages. Cur-
rently only short messages via the mobile network (SMS) are supported.

►

Make sure, that the cellular modem is enabled.

►

For information how to add messages, open

WEB-PLC Online Help — Settings —

Settings — PLC — Messages

.

If messages are added in the settings:

In WEB-PLC editor add the units

Send Msg 0

and

Recv Msg 0

to the current application.

Send Msg 0

transmits the first configured message when its transmitting trigger input

port (

Snd

) is high.

➨

Recv Msg 0

puts out a high signal on its output port when the first configured message

is received.

To send a message every time the receive message is processed, connect

Send Msg 0

and

Recv Msg 0

.
