III.4 Arming the HD100
The arming and releasing operations of the HD100 require the use of the TT801. Arm and
lock the release system hook as follows:
Procedure
Step Action
1.
Check that the locking pin of the motor axle is in the « RELEASED » position and that it
can be inserted between the prongs of the fork (ref.: 9102893) (parallel with the arms of
the fork-shaped hook (ref.: 910 2893A)).
If it is not the case, enter the valid RELEASE code of the AR861 S actuator used. Check
this code of the Acoustic Release Acceptance Tests Report (ATR) or on HD100 labels.
Bring the acoustic head of the Telecommand unit near the AR/RT861 S transducer
(distance of about 1 m in the air). The motor should make a quarter-turn and the locking
pin will be set to the correct position for arming.
2.
Remove the safety pin (ref.: 910 4228).
3.
Open the drag hook (ref.: 910 2715) and insert the oval ring (ref.: 910 2719) into position
in the drag hook.
4.
Push and pivot the drag hook and the ring (ref.: 910 2719) around the axle until it balks
the inside of the frame in order to install the safety pin (ref.: 910 4228).
5.
Position the hook-fork (ref.: 910 2893A) so that the resting points of the main drag hook
and of the hook are correctly installed and push the arms of the hook parallel to the
inferior partition of the acoustic actuator AR861S.
6.
Manually set the fork-shaped hook (ref.: 910 2893A) so that it is in contact with the hook
(ref.: 910 2715) and push the arms of the hook in a direction parallel to the lower wall of
the AR/RT 861 S releasing system.
7.
While holding the hook in position, transmit the “RELEASE” code to lock the acoustic
system release hook. After 3 seconds delay, the motor should turn for approximately 3
seconds and lock the hook.
8.
Visually check that the hook assembly is properly locked and that no foreign body will
impair the correct operation of the releasing system.
9.
Fit the safety pin (ref.: 910 4228) and secure it with its pin clips.
Now, the HD100 Heavy Duty Acoustic is ready to operate.
10.
End of procedure.
