PFR = Pinger Frequency.
In the case of a release with Pinger, the operating duration is set at 3 minutes. For
unlimited transmission of PFR pulses, use the PINGER ON command. Use the PINGER
OFF command to stop these transmissions. Programmable parameters, accessible by
NMEA command, regarding the Pinger mode are:
•
PFR: tonal type (12 kHz by default) or M-FSK type,
•
Rate: 5 seconds by default (programmable from 1 to 31 seconds)
II.5.2
DIAGNOSTIC
C
OMMAND
The
DIAGNOSTIC
function gives two information through the acoustic channel:
•
Battery voltage
•
Transponder verticality (GO / NO GO indication)
On reception of a "Diagnostic" command, the transponder transmits two CAF separated
by a delay
∆
T.
Used in "Time" mode, the TT 301B telecommand unit receives and displays this delay
expressed in ms. If the transponder falls in a cone of verticality whose aperture is 50°, the
delay is displayed as follows: 5195. If the equipment is not in this cone of verticality the
delay between the two CAF is increased by 10 seconds and it is displayed as: 5.1.9.5.
In order to deduce the battery voltage (expressed in mV), simply carry out the following
calculation:

Used in « Telemetry » mode, the TT801 remote control unit receives and displays these
data.

ACOUSTIC
RESET
C
OMMAND
The
ACOUSTIC RESET
command enables the transponder's reference configuration to
be restored at any time. In fact, the transponder manages two types of configuration:
•
A configuration referred as
"current"
, stored in EEPROM memory and copied in RAM
memory, which changes with the modifications carried out by the user during the
mission
•
A configuration referred as
"reference"
, stored in EEPROM memory, which can be
modified at any time by means of NMEA commands (configuration management using
MMI)
