The text of certain buttons of the dialogue boxes is directly managed by Windows (“YES”
or “NO” for example). Hence, this text will be displayed in the language corresponding to
the Windows version installed on the host computer.
Throughout MMI BALI operations, the operator receives messages intended to inform him,
warn him of a problem, or prompt him to make a choice. These messages appear in
dialogue boxes consisting of the following elements:
•
A title bar, the text of which is in general: “Message from MMI BALI...”.
•
An icon dependent on the nature of the information displayed (see hereafter)
•
The text of the message. This text must always be read with attention.
•
One, two or three buttons, depending on the context (e.g. “OK”, or “OUI” plus “NO”,
etc.).
Depending on the nature of the message, the icon used in the dialogue box may be of any
of the following types:
Simple information message. The operator clicks on “OK” to close the dialogue box.
Message requiring operator’s attention. Used, for example, in case of entry errors.
The operator is prompted to answer the question. Two or three alternatives are
suggested, depending on the context.
Message warning of a critical situation. In the case of a message, the operator must note
it prior to clicking on “OK”. In the case of a query, he must be sure of his choice!
