Avoid starting the power tool accidentally. Make
•
sure that the On/Off switch is in the OFF position
before inserting a rechargeable battery. Carrying
the power tool while keeping your finger on the On/
Off switch or inserting the rechargeable battery into
the activated power tool, can lead to accidents.
Do NOT open the rechargeable battery. There is
•
danger of a short circuit.
Protect the power tool against heat, e.g.
•
continuous direct exposure to sunlight or a fire. This
leads to a risk of explosion.
Vapors can be set free if the rechargeable battery
•
is damaged or used incorrectly. Make sure to air the
workplace thoroughly; if you feel pain, consult a
doctor. The vapors might irritate the airways.
In case the rechargeable battery is defective,
•
fluid might escape and moisten surrounding
objects. Check the affected parts. Clean these parts;
if necessary, replace them.
Battery safety rules
Load the rechargeable battery only in chargers
•
recommended by the manufacturer. For a charger
that is suitable for a given type of rechargeable
battery, there is a risk of fire when it is used with
another rechargeable battery.
Use only those rechargeable batteries, which
•
were designed for this purpose. The usage of other
rechargeable batteries can cause injuries and a risk
of fire.
Keep unused rechargeable batteries away from
•
paperclips, coins, keys, nails, screws or other small
metal objects, which could cause a bridging of the
contacts. A short between the rechargeable battery
contacts can cause burns or file.
When used wrongly, fluid may escape from the
•
rechargeable battery. Avoid contact with this fluid .In
case of accidental contact with the escaped battery
fluid, flush with water thoroughly. In addition, look
for medical help if the fluid enters the eyes. Battery
fluid escaped from the rechargeable battery can
cause skin rashes or burns.
Battery charger safety rules
Keep the charger away from rain and moisture. If
•
water enters a charger, there is an increased risk of
electric shock.
Never load inappropriate rechargeable batteries.
•
The charger is only suitable for charging LI-Ion
rechargeable batteries with the voltages given in
the specifications. Using it for other batteries can
cause fire or explosion.
Keep the charger clean. A dirty charger increases
•
the risk of electric shock.
Before each operation, check the charger, cables
•
and connector. Do NOT use the charger if you notice
any damage. Never open the charger yourself, and
let repairs be carried out only by qualified personnel
using original spare parts. Damaged chargers, cables
and connectors increase the risk of electric shock.
Never use the charge on easily flammable
•
underground (e.g. paper, textiles etc.)or in
flammable surroundings, due to the heat produced
by the charger whole charging, there is a risk of fire.
Unpacking
When unpacking, check to make sure that all
components are included. Refer to the drawings
on this manual. If any parts are missing or broken,
please call IVT assistance center.
Initial operation
Always use the correct supply voltage: the power
supply voltage must match the information quoted
on the tool identification plate.
Operating instruction
Before carrying out any work on the
power tool and while moving or storing
the tool, always set the rotation
direction switch (6) in the middle position.
Charging the battery
Never use a different charger. The provided
•
charger is calibrated for the Li-Ion rechargeable
battery contained in your power tool.
The battery is delivered partially charged. In
•
order to get the full performance of the battery,
charge it completely with the charger before
starting operation.
The Li-Ion battery can be charged any time,
•
without shortening its life. There is no damage to
the battery if the charging operation is interrupted.
CAUTION: never deep discharge the
battery! After the automatic turnoff of
the power tool, do NOT press the On/Off
switch (7) any longer. The battery might get
damaged.
Charging starts as soon as the power plug of the
