3.1.3
Installation site
Do not install the treatment station inside buildings.
Install the station outdoors, either in-ground or lying on the ground.
If installed on the ground, erect a shelter to protect the product from the weather (rain, wind,….) and a
lifting pit with booster pump (For further information

section 10.7).
Do not drive over and/or walk on the cover.
The containers have not been designed to withstand loads.

Position the 24H programmable timer where it is protected from the weather (rain, wind,….) and easy to
reach.

3.1.4
Discharging wastewater from the treatment station
For the Italian market
If correctly installed and used, the system can treat domestic and similar wastewater according to the limits
established in Table 3, Annex 5 of Legislative Decree n° 152 of 11th May 1999, as amended by Legislative
Decree n° 258 of 18th August 2000 (implementing European Directives 91/271/EEC and 98/15/EC).
The treated wastewater can be discharged into sewers (article 33 of Legislative Decree n° 152) or waterways
- lakes, rivers,….- (article 31 of Legislative Decree n° 152) after presenting a discharge application to the
competent local authority (Municipal Council, Provincial Council, AATO Optimised Territorial Area Authority,
……) and receiving the relative authorisation.
If it is necessary to discharge the treated wastewater into the ground (article 29 of Legislative Decree n° 152),
install another treatment station (anaerobic bacterial filter) downline from the Depurbox so as to observe the
limits established in Table n° 4, Annex 5, of Legislative Decree n° 152 of 11th May 1999.

3.1.6 Sound

As both the pump and the ejector are immersed in the sewage, noise is reduced to a minimum.
3.1.7 Special
applications
When treating wastewater with elevated quantities of fats (non-residential applications), install a degreaser
upline from the Depurbox station.

3.1.8
Improper use
Improper use of the treatment station may create dangerous conditions and cause personal injury and/or
damage to property.
Improper use includes:

directly introducing a fat content higher than the limit indicated in section 3.1.2 without first installing a
degreasing unit downline from the station (section 3.1.7)

introducing large solids, paper, cardboard, newspapers, fabric, thread and anything else that could block
the piping and/or pump
-
introducing hazardous liquids (harmful, irritating, toxic, explosive, corrosive, flammable) such as paint,
solvents, hydrocarbons or mineral oils
-
introducing highly acid or alkaline cleaning liquids
-
introducing highly oxidising substances (such as fluorides and chlorides), bactericides, liquids or
substances that are harmful to bacterial flora and fauna
-
introducing elevated quantities of 90% biodegradable detergents
-
introducing nutrients and/or chemical additives
