Fully open the degreaser. The presence of a floating white crust created by detergents prevents the large solids from flowing
along the pipes. If the floating layer is brownish-blackish, it is caused by an excess of solidified fat.
2
Detach and break up the floating layer with a rod.
3
Break up this layer frequently. If this is not sufficient, contact specialised companies to remove the floating solids.
10.10.3 Example of tertiary treatment
For the Italian market
To discharge the treated wastewater into the ground (article 29 of Legislative Decree n° 152), install a tertiary treatment station downline
from the Depurbox so as to observe the limits established in Table n° 4, Annex 5, of Legislative Decree n° 152 of 11th May 1999.
The treatment station can comprise:
a constructed wetlands where the wastewater flows between layers of sand and gravel containing plants. These plants promote
microbic action and absorb certain elements.
alternatively, a shell containing filtering layers (anaerobic bacterial filter).
