Table 4.3 Available types of signals in the command mode
Signal type Description
Pulse Pulse is generated by the output active state. Pulse duration
– 1 to 255 minutes. Default
value
– 1 second.
If during the pulse action an event, reinitializing the pulse output triggering, occurs, the
output remains in the active state for the specified duration starting a count from the time
of the event.
Trigger The pin state is changed into the opposite one and stored (if output state memory is en-
abled).
Up (Active state) Set for an output only by an SMS command. The output state switches to active and is
stored (if state memory is enabled).
Down (Passive state) Set for an output only by an SMS command. The output state switches to passive and is
stored (if state memory is enabled).
The modem can save the outputs state and restore it when restarted. By default, this option is disabled for
pins 1 and 2, enabled
– for pin 3. Only the pulse active state is not stored: after restarting the modem, the pin is
set to the passive state.
You can disable saving of each pin state
– in this case the pin is set to the passive state after restarting the
modem.
Note.
When changing the GPIO settings, the state of all the modem pins is reset to the passive state.
4.17.3. GPIO Pins Control via SMS Commands
The modem can perform an action with an output by an SMS command:
to set the active state of an output;
to set the passive state of an output;
to change the output state into the opposite one (trigger);
to generate a pulse of the specified duration.
To control pins via SMS commands, first set up this pin (otherwise the modem will ignore an SMS command
for the pin):
"direction"
– "output";
"output operation algorithm" = 8 (command mode).
