OPERATION
The DTR-1000 operation is essentially the same for all models of units, so a generic description will be given, with
differences explained where required.
Front Panel Display:
The displays on the DTR-1000 are mostly self explanatory. The left and middle display show channel status
including whether the channel is a transmitter or receiver and the detected signal type. The right display initially
shows the product type and network setup. Pressing enter takes the user to the next control screen and up and
down buttons navigate the different menus. Escape takes the user back to the top control screen. The screens
constantly update on changes to channel status and all displays will occasionally flash every few minutes to ensure
the displays are reset.
There are three main menus. Transmitter settings, receiver settings and Ethernet settings. The transmitter settings
display the status of the selected transmitter channel including the channel alias which is set via the embedded
web server page. Each transmitter channel can be enabled or disabled or the reclocker set to block certain rates.
The receiver likewise has similar features.
The Ethernet settings page allows the user to assign individual IP, Netmask and IP gateways addresses. Changes to
these addresses only takes effect after the unit is rebooted or the device or factory reset is auctioned. The factory
reset restores all settings back to default, including the channel aliases.
For security, changes to the device, other than setting the channel aliases in the web page, must be undertaken
through the front panel.
Front Panel Pushbuttons:
Six front panel pushbutton switches allow navigation between the various front panel display windows and control
of the settable parameters within the windows. As shown in the diagram above, a five segment unmarked
switch allows UP, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT movement and ENTER function. A separate circular switch designated
with the symbol acts as ESCAPE (or GO BACK) function.
