Rear Panel - Signal Connections:
The DTR-1000 is designed to be operated as a pair, though in reality they will also work into other devices that use
either an internal or external CWDM optical MUX/DeMux, at the correct wavelengths, such as IRT’s single or
multi-channel Eurocard and openGear® cards.
3G/HD/SD-SDI or ASI signal connections are made via BNC connectors on the rear of the unit. Transmitter inputs
are marked as IN 1 to IN 16 and receiver outputs as OUT 1 to OUT 16, the exact number of inputs and outputs is
dependent on the DTR-1000 model number. Input rates are independent of each other and do not have to be all
the same. They may be 3G-SDI, HD-SDI, SD-SDI or ASI types of signals. What is transmitted on one channel of one
unit is reclocked and received on the corresponding output of the reciprocal unit. Only high quality 75Ω coaxial
cable suitable for the desired signal data rate should be used for error free results.
With the signal channels set to reclocker bypass mode, other data rates can also be sent/received, though the
DTR-1000 will not be able to determine what those rates may be and will report a signal unknown condition.
The
DTR-1000/16Tx+E
and
DTR-1000/16Rx+E
models are designed to operate together as a pair. They form a
16-channel, single direction, fibre link with bi-directional Ethernet.
