Installation Instructions
Connect any sensors
You can connect up to four temperature or humidity sensors (available from IPE) to each emu3/emu3ACO unit:

See “read sensor command” on page 31 for details on using Telnet to read sensor values.
1.
Connect a sensor to the
SENSOR
port on the rear panel of an emu3/emu3ACO unit using a standard CAT5e RJ45
cable.
2.
Daisychain additional sensors as as required.
Connect mains power
emu3 and emu3ACO units use powerCON locking 3-pole power connectors.
Note:
emu3 units do not have dedicated ON/OFF switches. They power up as soon as mains power is applied.
1.
Connect IEC mains power cables from the
MAINS
ports on the rear panels of your emu3 units to suitable mains
outlets.
For emu3ACO units, connect power cables to both
MAINS A
and
MAINS B
ports.
2.
Connect any devices to be powered by your emu3 system to the mains outlet ports (
1
-
12
) on the rear of the
units.
3.
Switch on mains power at the wall.
4.
Allow a few moments for the units to power up and connect to your LAN.
