steps in 

Inserting an Interphase Link Service

 on page 

125

 and message informed you: 

The INTERPHASE 

WAN Adapters driver is not installed.... You must install 
this product before adding the link service. Please insert 
the INTERPHASE CD-ROM packaged with your WAN 
adapter, and install this driver.

 

This warning message can have two causes:

• 

The Base driver is not installed.

Click 

OK

, then install the Base driver, as described 

for SNA link services in 

Installing the Base Driver

 on 

page 108

. 

• 

The WAN Adapters Setup utility did not detect the 
adapter during the software installation (the Cards list 
is empty). Do the following:

a.

Install (or reinstall) the adapter, as instructed in 

Installing the Hardware

 on page 11

. 

b.

If the WAN Adapters Setup utility still cannot 
detect the adapter, see 

Computer does not boot up 

or host adapter not found

 on page 168

.

When the adapter is installed, continue as follows:

From the 

Start

 menu, select 

Programs

Interphase WAN Adapters

, and then 

WAN 

Setup

. 

b.

Click 

Add 

on the WAN Adapters Setup dialog box 

to add the card to the system.

Complete the software installation, as described in
