6920 Communications Server Reference Manual

Upload Format Control File

The upload format control (UPLFMT.CTL) contains a deĆ

scription of the upload file for the application program runĆ

ning on the handĆheld computers. The file contains the

PL/N upload filename and a series for record types. A forĆ

mat description of the data field or fields of this record type

follows each record type.
This file enables the Export Process to format the data reĆ

ceived from the handĆheld computers for communication to

a host computer.
Each upload file of the form:

<PL/N filename> (file)

<record type A> (rectype)

<type A format> (format)

If the necessary upload file is not on hand, find the required

information in the PL/N application program specification.

Use a text editor to edit UPLFMT.CTL. Refer to the ediĆ

tor's reference manual.

PL/N Upload File

Name of the PL/N uploaded transaction.

Length/type:

1ć6 character alphanumeric

Valid values:

Any printable ASCII character string

EXAMPLE:
