DOS Files:
A DOS type file can be any kind of data, binary, or
ASCII. An information record accompanies the DOS"
PL/N record. The information record contains path
and filename data that the exporter uses to create a
file to hold the uploaded data. The created file resides
in the Export subdirectory or directly below it. An upĆ
loaded path that contains a drive designation is conĆ
verted to path information only. The drive designation
becomes a subdirectory. The PL/N header and inforĆ
mation record data is retained in the formatted
UPLXXXXX.DAT file.
The Export Process creates a sequentiallyĆnamed upload
file for each computer processed by the export function.
These processed" files are placed in the Export directory.
The program expects the host application to retrieve the
processed files before the Export Process is stopped and
started up again.
All DOS files are also created in the Export directory, or
subdirectories off the Export directory.

NOTE: Failure to move files may result in files being overwritten.
EXAMPLE: UPLXXXXX.DAT file with DOS file header:

This example shows that a communication session from a terminal
uploaded a DOS file called “orders.dbf” with a size of 195,674 bytes.
The Export Process created the “orders.dbf” file in an Export subdi-
rectory called “RT123456”.
