6920 Controls

Norand

6920 Communications Server Reference Manual 7-21

ActiveX Control

The Microsoft Visual C++ sample TEST6920API.EXE apĆ

plication provides an example of the Norand 6920 ConĆ

trol." TEST6920API.EXE is installed in the same directory

as 6920API.DLL and the other 6920 EXEs and DLLs.

Adding Control to Project

When designing a dialog in the Microsoft Visual C++

Dialog Resource Editor," add the

Norand 6920 Control

your project before placing it in the dialog. From the

Project menu, select

Add to Project

→

Components and

Controls.

This brings up a component browser dialog.

You should find the

Norand 6920 Control

under Registered

ActiveX Controls."
Inserting the

Norand 6920 Control

into your project adds

the N6920CTRL.H and N6920CTRL.CPP files. These files

contain the class definition for an OLE wrapper class Ċ

making easy access to the control methods and properties.

An icon for the control is added to the Controls toolbar.

Using Control in Dialog

To create an instance of the

Norand 6920 Control

in a diaĆ

log (or view), select the Norand 6920" icon on the Controls

toolbar and place it in the desired location of your dialog.

Use ClassWizard" to assign a member variable to the conĆ

trol to make it easy to access the control's methods and

properties from your dialog class code. ClassWizard" can

also create an event handler procedure for processing the

StatusMessage event. If the

Norand 6920 Control

's properĆ

ties are edited, the default values can be set for the mesĆ

sage filters.
