Are the connections and wiring of the
following connectors in order?
• BJ head connectors K, C, M, Y
• Engine 2 PCB J401-404
Are there any broken wires or damages
in the flexible cable?
Is the problem corrected by executing
“CLEANING (B)”? Is it corrected when
it is executed several times?
Is tube connector properly connected to
the head or tube station?
Is ink being fed properly from the sub
tank to the head?
Is the problem corrected when ink is
sucked from the pressure side (front
side) joint of the tube connector by a
pump and “Initial ink filling” (See Chap-
ter 3.3:B) is executed?
Is the filter in the tube connector of BJ
head clogged by dust or foreign mate-
rial?
Is the problem corrected when the BJ
head is replaced?
Is the problem corrected when the En-
gine 2 PCB is replaced?
Is the problem corrected when the En-
gine 1 PCB is replaced?
Is the problem corrected when the
Formatter PCB is replaced?

Reconnect and rewire the con-
nectors properly.
Replace the flexible cable.
