IC8P Battery Charger/Analyser

Operator Manual

battery capacity. Note the capacity reported is a 
function of time elapsed and the Discharge time, and 
can be greater than 100%.

Discharge Amps

Amps.

This is the constant current discharge amps that the 
battery has to be discharged at.

Discharge Time

Hours and 
Minutes.

This is the discharge time (usually 1 hour). The charge
does not stop when this time has elapsed but 
continues. This time is used to correctly calculate the 
battery capacity..

The battery nominal voltage is used to determine what
power rating is required for discharge and also the 
help validate the data entered.

Alarm Volts.

Volts.

When the battery voltage falls below this set point the 
alarm will sound alerting the operator.

The discharge current to maintain. Note when the 
battery voltage falls to below one volt the discharge 
current will begin to fall due to the internal resistance 
and blocking diodes used in the discharge circuit.

Discharge Time

Hours and 
Minutes.

The discharge will continue for this set amount of 
time.
