Intel® SAS RAID Module Installation
SAS RAID Module installation requires that the SAS interposer card is already installed. See the SAS
interposer card installation steps in
Section 3.11.1

1.
Power off the system and disconnect the power cable(s).

Remove the system top cover (see
Section 3.1.1

Remove the air duct (see
Section 3.2.1
4.
Remove the SAS RAID module from its packaging.
5.
Insert the four (4) plastic-barrel standoffs into the matching holes in the SAS interposer card
(see Letter A).
6.
Align the SAS RAID module mounting holes over the four standoffs (see Letter B).
7.
Lower the SAS RAID module onto the SAS interposer card.
8.
Press down firmly until the SAS RAID module connector is fully seated in the matching connector on the
SAS interposer card (see Letter C). The module should be firmly seated over each standoff.
9.
Insert the locking pin into each standoff (see Letter D).
10.
Attach all the connectors as required.
11.
Reinstall the air duct (see
Section 3.2.2
12.
Reinstall the system top cover (see
Section3.1.2
).
