Press the UP/DOWN keys (6) to select the desired CTCSS or DCS tone number or select OFF to
disable the function. Press the MENU key (7) to confirm the operation then press the UP/DOWN keys
(6) to select other functions or press the FUN key (9) to return to standby status.
T : Transmitting CTCSS / DCS Tones (MENU 19)
In MENU mode, select the item 19 (N); the
T-
indication (W) will appear on the LCD display (5). Press
MENU key (7) to confirm and press the * key (16) to switch between the CTCSS tone selection (T-CTC)
and DCS tone selection (T-DCS) in transmitting mode. Press the UP/DOWN keys (6) to select the
desired CTCSS or DCS tone number or select OFF to disable the function.
Press the MENU key (7) to confirm the operation then press the UP/DOWN keys (6) to select other
functions or press the FUN key (9) to return to standby status.
OFFSET : TX / RX Frequency Offset (MENU 20)
In MENU mode, select the item 20 (N); the
OFFSET
indication (W) and the offset value (V) will appear on the
LCD display (5). Press MENU key (7) to confirm and press the UP/DOWN keys (6) to select the desired
offset value (from 0 to 69.9875 MHz) or digit the offset frequency directly by using the numeric keypad (8).
Press the MENU key (7) to confirm the operation then press the UP/DOWN keys (6) to select other
functions or press the FUN key (9) to return to standby status.
It is possible to transmit and receive in two different frequencies, by setting the frequency shift direction
(please refer to
RPTMOD
function).
E.g.:
if you want to receive on 430.025 MHz frequency and transmit on 435.025 MHz frequency :
1.
In Frequency Mode, set the frequency at 430.025 MHz
2.
Select

(positive SHIFT direction) in
RPTMOD function
(MENU 21)
3.
Enter the offset frequency function and then digit the frequency deviation to 05.000 (5 MHz).
Note :
this function can be operate in FREQUENCY MODE only.
RPTMOD : Transmitting Frequency Shift Direction (MENU 21)
In MENU mode, select the item 21 (N); the
RPTMOD
indication (W) will appear on the LCD display (5).
Press MENU key (7) to confirm and press the UP/DOWN keys (6) to select the desired operation
modes (+ or -) or OFF (function disabled).
OFF :
Function disabled.
+ :
The transmitting frequency will be higher than the receiving frequency (positive OFFSET)
The

Icon (H) will appear on LCD display (5).
- :
The transmitting frequency will be lower than the receiving frequency (positive OFFSET)
The

Icon (H) will appear on LCD display (5).
Press the MENU key (7) to confirm the operation then press the UP/DOWN keys (6) to select other
functions or press the FUN key (9) to return to standby status.

STEP : Frequency Step (MENU 22)
In MENU mode, select the item 22 (N); the
STEP
indication (W) and the frequency spacing (V) will
appear on the LCD display (5). Press MENU key (7) to confirm and press the UP/DOWN keys (6) to
select the desired frequency step (5 KHz - 6.25 KHz - 10 KHz - 12.5 KHz - 25 KHz - 50 KHz - 100 KHz).
Press the MENU key (7) to confirm the operation then press the UP/DOWN keys (6) to select other
functions or press the FUN key (9) to return to standby status.
