3.2.1 Four-Wire Resistance Measurements (Pt-100)

The theory behind this method is explained earlier in this manual.

Below is a schematic diagram of how to connect two Pt-100 sensors. It can of
course be expanded to up to 24 sensors.
You realise, of course, that these can be combined with other sensors and
transducers that don’t require current sources.

With this method all sensors are referenced to ”3100i” signal ground via the
constant current return ( - ). The Diff/Gnd switch must consequently be in the
Diff position ( right? ).
