Chapter 5: Troubleshooting
If the gateway is not functioning properly, check this chapter first for quick troubleshoot before contacting
your service provider or Innoband support.

None of the LEDs are on
when you turn on the
gateway.
Check the connection between the power adapter and the gateway. If the problem
persists, you may have a hardware problem. Please contact the service provider first.
You have forgotten your
gateway login and/or
password.
Try the default login and password. Refer to Chapter 3 of this manual. If this fails, you
can restore your gateway to its factory settings by holding the Reset button on the back
of your gateway for more than 6 seconds.

Initialization of the PVC
connection ("linesync")
failed.
Ensure that the telephone cable is connected properly from the ADSL port to the wall
jack. The ADSL LED on the front panel should be on. Check that your VPI, VCI,
encapsulation type and type of multiplexing settings are all set correctly per information
provided by your service provider. Reboot the gateway. If you still have problem, please
call your service provider to confirm the settings.
Frequent loss of ADSL
linesync
(disconnections).
Ensure that all other devices connected to the same telephone line as your gateway
(e.g. telephones, fax machines) have an in-line filter (not included) connected between
them and the wall socket (unless you are using a Central Splitter or Central Filter
installed by a qualified and licensed electrician). Missing in-line filters or improper
installation of in-line filters can cause problems with your ADSL connection.

Can't ping any PCs on
the LAN.
Check the Ethernet LEDs on the front panel. The LED should be on for the particular
port that has a PC connected to. Check the cables between your gateway and the PC if
the LED remains off. Make sure you have disabled any software firewall for
troubleshooting. Please also verify that the IP address and the subnet mask are
consistent between the gateway and the PC.
