Transmission from INMARSAT C Equipment

How to Send Message

1

Compose the TELEX message
that is to be sent.

（

Use the message editing function of the Ship Station

TELEX terminal to compose the message.)

Select the SEND mode.

Select the DESTINATION TELEX
or DATA TERMINAL number.

If the destination number has already been pre-
registered, select it. If it has not been registered,
please enter the TELEX number according to the
following procedure.(Please refer P68) Because
there will be some differences in the method of
registering a number depending  on the type of
equipment, please refer to the equipment
operation manual when entering a number. The
following is the general procedure for registration.

Set the LES to be used.

The ID codes for the KDDI's INMARSAT C LES are
"203" for the POR and "303" for the IOR. In the
case of the AOR, please set KDDI's SLES by
entering "303" for AOR/W and "103" for AOR/E.

Select Reserve Time
Transmission or Immediate
Transmission

Set the PRIORITY.

(For non-emergency [non-distress]
communications, please select NORMAL.)

Choose either an affirmative or
negative setting for delivery
confirmation.

(The default setting for delivery confirmation is
affirmative.*)

Receive a message indicating
completion or non-completion
of message delivery.

(In the case that affirmative was selected in above
step 8, this message will be sent to you either
during the transmission or after the transmission
is completed.)

Press the transmission button
and the message will be sent.

* Depending on the LES, this confirmation message will not be

performed, or there may be a charge for this service. Please
confirm the availability of this service and  whether there is a
charge with each LES.
