If gas shielding is used, the gas-flow rate must be set between 12 -15 l/min.
Note: When welding aluminium, it is possible to use pure argon (Ar) instead of the 30% argon-helium mixture (ArHe30%).
Similarly, it is possible to use pure argon (Ar) instead of the 8% argon-CO² mixture (ArCO² 8%) for welding steel
(Fe or FeCu). In these two cases, the synergies’ welding settings are no longer supported, it may be necessary
to switch to MANUAL mode (see section 8.2).
Do not exceed 5 N.m when tightening a connection to the equipment’s gas inlet.
5.4. SELECTING WELDING ACCESSORIES
The type of welding tool to be used is determined by the type of consumable that needs to be welded (type, size and
material), as well as the welding position and the appropriate shielding (gas, gas-free or ceramic ferrule). The table
below provides guidance on selecting the appropriate tool.
