If there are no collective fall arrest
systems (e.g.: railings, protection nets,
etc...) personal protective equipment
(PPE) must be used to prevent falls, as
defined by safety at work standards in
force.
The usual PPE must be worn for all in-
stallation operations (drilling, moving,
etc...).
Risk of electric shock
Only work near overhanging power
cables where contact is possible if:
the power has been disconnected from the
cables for the whole duration of the work to
be done
the cables are protected by suitable barriers
or safety guards
the cables are more than 5 m away from where
the work is being carried out.
