UDP/IP Streaming
When UDP/IP Streaming is selected, the following configuration parameters are displayed:
The UDP streams from the IP360 are optimized for playback on consumer (IPTV) devices. In
order to save network bandwidth, these streams do not include NULL packets, and may not be
playable in professional IRDs. If compatibility with professional IRDs is desired, the
ImmediaTV MVN-EN460 or ITV-EN460c professional encoders should be used instead.
The encoder output can be transmitted using either one of the two streaming Ethernet ports, or on
both simultaneously. In order to transmit on a given Ethernet port, check the corresponding
Enabled box. Once the box is checked, the following configuration parameters become
available:
The configuration parameters are as follows:

UDP Port: selects the UDP port to transmit to. Valid values are between 1 and 65535.
Note that, in traditional IP networks, UDP ports between 1 and 1023 are reserved for
administrative uses. ImmediaTV recommends the use of UDP ports 1024 and higher.
The IP360, however, will accept any legal value.

Destination Address: selects the IP address to transmit to. Any valid unicast or
multicast address can be entered here, with the exception of the loopback range
(127.0.0.0 to 127.255.255.255). The IP360 will also accept the broadcast IP address of
255.255.255.255, and will transmit the packets as Ethernet broadcasts. Use of broadcasts,
however, is strongly discouraged.

TOS: This parameter allows the configuration of the Type-Of-Service (TOS) byte in the
IP header (also known as the Differentiated Services – DS – field). Valid values are
