5.2 Geschwindigkeit verändern
Bei Bedarf kann die Geschwindigkeit des Platten-
spielers und damit die Tonhöhe („pitch“) des gerade
abgespielten Titels mit dem Regler PITCH ADJ. (10)
um bis zu 10 % erhöht oder verringert werden. In der
Mittelstellung [Regler rastet ein, grüne LED (11)
leuchtet] ist die gewählte Standardgeschwindigkeit
eingestellt, d. h. exakt 33

U/min, 45 U/min oder
78 U/min – je nachdem welche Taste SPEED (16)
gedrückt wurde.
Zur Kontrolle der eingestellten Geschwindigkeit
dient der Stroboskopring (13) am Plattentellerrand.
Bei rotierendem Plattenteller den Teil des Rings be-
trachten, der von der Stroboskoplampe (14) beleuch-
tet wird (eventuell die Raumbeleuchtung verringern):
- Bleiben die Punkte des untersten Rings schein-
bar stehen, läuft der abgespielte Titel um 3,3 %
langsamer als mit Standardgeschwindigkeit.
- Bleiben die (größeren) Punkte des zweiten Rings
von unten scheinbar stehen, läuft der Titel mit
Standardgeschwindigkeit.
- Bleiben die Punkte des dritten Rings von unten
scheinbar stehen, läuft der Titel um 3,3 % schnel-
ler als mit Standardgeschwindigkeit.
- Bleiben die Punkte des obersten Rings scheinbar
stehen, läuft der Titel um 7,2 % schneller als mit
Standardgeschwindigkeit.
5.2.1 Takt von zwei Musikstücken angleichen
Mit den Tasten PITCH BEND + und - (12) läßt sich
die Abspielgeschwindigkeit kurzzeitig erhöhen oder
verringern. Dies ermöglicht es, den Takt des gerade
laufenden Titels an den Takt eines auf einem ande-
ren Gerät laufenden Musikstückes anzupassen.
1) Mit dem Regler PITCH ADJ. (10) die Geschwin-
digkeit des laufenden Musikstückes an die Ge-
schwindigkeit des zweiten Musikstückes anglei-
chen.
2) Mit den Tasten PITCH BEND + und - die Takt-
schläge beider Musikstücke genau übereinan-
derlegen: Solange die Taste + oder - gedrückt
gehalten wird, läuft der Titel 10 % schneller bzw.
langsamer als mit Standardgeschwindigkeit.
Hinweis: Die Taste + ist bei einer mit dem Regler
PITCH ADJ. (10) eingestellten Geschwindigkeit von
+10 % unwirksam und die Taste - bei einer Ge-
schwindigkeit von -10 %.
5.3 Fernsteuern der Funktion „Start/Stopp“
Für den Disco-Betrieb kann die Funktion „Start/
Stopp“ über einen separaten Schalter ferngesteuert
werden, z. B. über ein Mischpult mit sogenanntem
Fader-Start. Wenn am Mischpult der Regler für den
Plattenspieler geöffnet wird, startet automatisch der
Plattenspieler und stoppt wieder, wenn der Regler
geschlossen wird.
Den Schalter bzw. das Mischpult über einen 2poli-
gen 3,5-mm-Klinkenstecker an die Buchse REMOTE
START/STOP (21) anschließen (siehe Abb. 6 unten).

Anschluß für die Fernsteuerung „Start/Stopp“
Hinweis: Das Starten/Stoppen des Plattenspielers
sollte entweder direkt am Gerät durch Betätigen der
Start/Stopp-Taste (15) erfolgen oder ferngesteuert
über den Anschluß REMOTE START/STOP. Wer-
den beide Bedienungsarten kombiniert, kann es zu
Fehlfunktionen kommen.

Zubehör
6.1 Ersatz-Tonabnehmersystem und -Nadel
Bei Bedarf kann das Tonabnehmersystem oder die
Abtastnadel leicht ausgewechselt werden. Im Fach-
handel sind entsprechende Ersatzteile erhältlich,
z. B. von MONACOR das Tonabnehmer-Magnetsy-
stem EN-24 und die dazu passende Abtastnadel
EN-24SP. Nach dem Austausch des Tonabnehmer-
systems das Auflagegewicht und die Antiskating-
Einrichtung neu einstellen (siehe Kap. 3.3 und 3.4).
6.2 Ersatz-Systemträger
Ein Ersatz-Systemträger (z. B. der Systemträger
EN-120 von MONACOR) komplett mit einem Ton-
abnehmersystem kann in die Halterung (5) gesteckt
werden. Damit ist bei Bedarf immer sofort Ersatz
verfügbar. Der Systemträger läßt sich schnell durch
Ab- und Anschrauben austauschen. Anschließend
das Auflagegewicht und die Antiskating-Einrichtung
neu einstellen (siehe Kap. 3.3 und 3.4).

Wartung
7.1 Pflege
Das Plattenspielergehäuse und die Abdeckhaube
nur mit einem trockenen, weichen Tuch oder einem
leicht angefeuchteten Lappen (nicht tropfnaß!) ab-
wischen. Keinen Alkohol und keine Chemikalien oder
scharfe Reinigungsmittel verwenden! Zum Entstau-
ben der Abtastnadel und Schallplatten ist im Fach-
handel entsprechendes Zubehör erhältlich, z. B. die
Carbonfaser-Plattenbürste DC-100 von MONACOR.
7.2 Transport
Wollen Sie den Plattenspieler versenden, so achten
Sie darauf, daß der Plattenteller und alle anderen
Baugruppen des Gerätes nur original verpackt
und/oder extra transportgesichert verschickt wer-
den. Gehäuse- und Geräteschäden, die durch einen
unsachgemäß lose verpackten Plattenteller (z. B.
Plattenteller nicht von der Achse genommen und
nicht gesichert o. ä.) verursacht werden, unterliegen
nicht der Garantie und sind deshalb kostenpflichtig!
Für den Versand unbedingt beachten:
1) Die Schutzkappe für die Abtastnadel aufstecken.
2) Den Tonarm mit dem Verriegelungshebel (9)
sichern.

5.2 Changing the speed
If required, the speed of the turntable and thus the
pitch of the title just playing can be increased or re-
duced with the control PITCH ADJ. (10) by up to
10 %. In mid-position [control locks into place, green
LED (11) lights up] the selected standard speed is
adjusted, i. e. exactly 33

rpm, 45 rpm, or 78 rpm –
according to which button SPEED (16) was selected.
The stroboscope ring (13) on the rim of the turn-
table platter serves to check the adjusted speed.
With rotating turntable platter observe the part of the
ring which is illuminated by the stroboscope lamp
(14) (if necessary, reduce the room illumination):
- If the markings of the lowest ring seem to stand
still, the current title is played by 3.3 % slower
than at standard speed.
- If the (bigger) markings of the second ring seen
from below seem to stand still, the title is played
at standard speed.
- If the markings of the third ring seen from below
seem to stand still, the title is played by 3.3 %
faster than at standard speed.
- If the markings of the upper ring seem to stand
still, the title is played by 7.2 % faster than at
standard speed.
5.2.1 Pitch bending
With the buttons PITCH BEND + and - (12) the play-
ing speed can shortly be increased or reduced.
Thus, it is possible to match the beat of the currently
playing title to that of a music piece playing on an-
other unit.
1) Use the control PITCH ADJ. (10) to match the
speed of the currently playing music piece to the
speed of the second music piece.
2) With the buttons PITCH BEND + and - synchro-
nize the beats of the two music pieces with each
other: as long as the button + or - is kept
pressed, the title is played at a speed that is by
10 % faster or slower than the standard speed.
Note: At a speed of +10 % adjusted with the control
PITCH ADJ. (10) the button + is ineffective, at a
speed of -10 %, the button - is ineffective.
5.3 Remote control of the “Start/Stop”
function
For disco operation the function “Start/Stop” can be
remote-controlled via a separate switch, e. g. via a
mixer with a so-called fader start. If the fader for the
turntable is advanced on the mixer, the turntable will
automatically start and will stop again if the fader is
closed.
Connect the switch or the mixer via a 2-pole 3.5 mm
plug to the jack REMOTE START/STOP (21) (see
fig. 6 below).

Note: Starting/stopping of the turntable should ei-
ther be made directly on the unit by pressing the
Start/Stop button (15) or remote-controlled via the
connection REMOTE START/STOP. If both ways of
operating are combined, there may be malfunctions.

Accessories
6.1 Replacement phono cartridge system and
stylus
If required, the phono cartridge system or the stylus
can easily be replaced. The corresponding replace-
ment parts are available from the retailer, e. g.
magnetic phono cartridge system EN-24 and the
matching stylus EN-24SP by MONACOR. After
replacing the phono cartridge system, readjust the
stylus pressure and the antiskating facility (see
chapters 3.3 and 3.4).
6.2 Replacement headshell
A replacement headshell (e. g. the headshell EN-120
by MONACOR) including a phono cartridge system
can be placed into the support (5). Thus, a replace-
ment is immediately available, if required. The head-
shell can easily be replaced by unscrewing the exist-
ing one and screwing on the new one. After the
replacement, readjust the stylus pressure and the
antiskating facility (see chapters 3.3 and 3.4).

Maintenance
7.1 Cleaning
It is recommended to clean the turntable housing
and the dust cover only with a dry, soft cloth or a
damp cloth (not dripping wet!). Do not use alcohol,
chemicals, or strong detergents! For dusting the sty-
lus and the records, the corresponding accessories
are available from your retailer, e. g. the carbon fibre
brush for records DC-100 by MONACOR.
7.2 Transportation
If the turntable is to be dispatched, pay attention that
the turntable platter and all other components of the
unit are only packed in their original packing material
and/or are especially secured for transportation.
Any damage to the housing or to the unit due to a
turntable platter that was not correctly packed (e. g.
turntable platter was not removed from the axle and
not secured, etc.) is not covered by the guarantee
and therefore the repair will be charged!
It is essential to observe the following instruc-
tions for dispatch:
1) Place the protective cap on the stylus.
2) Secure the tone arm with the locking lever (9).
